Are You Still Motivated In Your Career?

Career motivation

Are you losing your desire to do your job? Do you hate Mondays? Tuesdays? Wednesdays? Thursdays and now even Fridays? If this is you, I think it’s time for you to make a career change.

If you’re losing, or have totally lost, your desire at work it will be extremely hard for you to be successful. I personally have lost my desire in a job before and believe me I couldn’t stand the work, the people, the location, and even the smell of the office towards the end. It made it very difficult for me to perform at the level needed to be successful. Not a good situation to be in.

If you’re dealing with this right now, the best thing you can do for you and your company is to move on. You must find a company and a position where you can utilize your talents. It’s impossible for you to utilize your talents when you have lost your desire to work in your current position and company. Impossible.

Now, don’t get bad days or bad weeks confused with losing your desire or motivation. Having bad days and bad weeks is normal, but to have bad days turn into bad weeks and bad weeks turn into bad months and bad months turn into bad years, it’s time to go.

I cannot stress this enough, losing desire is one of the biggest problems in the workplace. I have seen great talented employees lose their desire to do their job and guess what? It’s down hill from there! If this is you, the only cure is to change what you’re doing or, at the very least, change where you’re currently working.

When you lose your desire it’s hard to do some of the most minimal tasks. It’s not fun anymore at work and it’s not fair to you, your family, or your company. You can fake it for a while, but eventually it will catch up to you. If you lost your motivation or desire in your career, you’re not stuck. It’s time for you to find something where you can utilize your talents and be happy. And when you do you will be successful. I hope this helps.

Good luck to you!
