Enthusiasm?

When you are enthusiastic about your career it’s infectious!

I have seen enthusiastic candidates get hired over other candidates because of their enthusiasm in the interview. That’s it! If you are enthusiastic about the company, position, and the type of work you do it will show in your demeanor and it will make a huge difference. Do you know why? Because so many people are just going through the motions and are putting in their time, that’s why! We all know these types, don’t we? And if you are one of these types it’s probably time to find a new career! Why be miserable?

If you are passionate, enthusiastic, and excited about what you do in your career, life is fun isn’t it? And, if you are NOT passionate, enthusiastic, or ever get excited about going to work, life is not fun is it?

The ironic thing about all of this is, if you have absolutely no enthusiasm about what you do in your career you will not be very successful. Period. Oh, you will be able to fake it for a little while but eventually you will get bored and lose interest in being successful. Basically, you will be going through the motions.

Enthusiasm is infectious! No doubt, but if you find it impossible to be enthusiastic about your career it’s time to find something else to do. But how do you find something that you can be enthusiastic about? One way is to find your passion. What are you passionate about? What do you like to do? What makes you happy? I think you should start with those questions and take it from there. When you start asking yourself these questions you will start to see things you can get excited about in a new career.

And, as I always say, do not think about the money when making career decisions. The money will come. If you find something you can truly be passionate, enthusiastic, and excited about you will be successful and the money will come. No doubt about it. And you will be happy, successful, passionate, and excited about your new career. Enthusiasm is infectious! And you will have it! I hope this helps.
