Most politicians are lawyers and not business people. These politicians are in the business and profession of politics, which is a business, but unlike any business in the private sector.
There are always unintended consequences when politicians, at any level, try to tinker with the economy and the private sector. They always end up doing more harm than good. Some of you fall for this stuff. Don’t.
Governments do not have any monies until they take it from the private sector. You! So, if they want to “stimulate” the economy with our money how can that help? It’s just moving the money around, but worse, because once the money passes through all of the layers of bureaucracies it’s a lot less once it gets out to “stimulate” the economy.
So, in regards to employment and jobs, what does taking the money out of the economy do? In other words, raising taxes on businesses to “spread the wealth around” and stimulate the economy? It kills job creation. Even the discussion of raising taxes on businesses to stimulate the economy kills job creation.
Companies large and small want certainty when it comes to running their business. If they don’t know what’s coming it gives them uncertainty, which freezes them and gives them a “hold on” and a “wait and see” attitude towards hiring and expanding.
When businesses are over-regulated and over-taxed it makes for a very difficult business environment. How can they think about hiring more people when they’re just trying to stay afloat and stay in business?
So if this is true what about the opposite? Let’s take less-regulations and less-taxes on businesses? What does this do? It gives them more money to expand and grow their business. It’s a no-brainer, letting businesses keep their own money is the best way to stimulate the economy and create jobs! It works every time it’s tried.
Can politicians create jobs? Yes, if they cut taxes and regulations on businesses and get out of the way! If they did this we would have more jobs than we can handle, but don’t hold your breath because the last thing they want is for you to keep more of your own money! I hope this helps.
