When you were younger how did you go about finding a job? If you were like me, you most likely went to businesses and asked if they are hiring, right? Pretty simple, isn’t it? You didn’t use a computer and, like me, you didn’t even have a car. What happened to you?
Stop wasting your time on the computer and get knocking, door-to-door, and watch what happens. You will be surprised. I bet you will have job offers by the end of the week. I don’t care what business you’re in this works. It always has and it always will.
Do you know why this works? It works because people hire people. As long as people are still doing the hiring in this world knocking on doors will always work. And in most cases better than anything else.
When you visit a company you can put your face to your information. You can show your personality. You can show what you can do. And anytime you can get in front of a hiring manager the better. Most outside sales people understand this. Anytime they can get in front of a buyer the odds of them closing a sale goes way up.
When you’re looking for a job, what are you selling? You! It’s not any different than that outside sales person. You need to get in front of as many buyers (hiring managers) as you can. Believe me, throughout time this has always worked and as long as people are still doing the hiring it always will.
If you’re having problems finding a job, try something new today, get off the computer and start knocking on doors. Watch what happens. You will be surprised (I won’t be) how many offers of employment you will receive. I hope this helps.
